Lighting
up the Downtown
The
plans are in motion and slowly growing to get South Bend
all aglow with lights in the evenings to make South Bend
a safer place to live and visit.
Along
the 101
The
101 corridor through downtown South Bend contains many businesses
and places of interest to visit, shop, spend the day, and
just relax. Lighting up the downtown area provides a warm
feeling and a safer more relaxed atmosphere for people to
enjoy themselves in.
Work
Being Done
SBRT
is attempting to get all the businesses along the 101 to
put up small white industrial strength lights so that there
is uniformity and safety along the entire corridor. So far
many businesses have joined in and more are adding their
lights to their buildings as SBRT keeps trying to reach
the goal of 100 % of the way lit.
